The Summer Essentials Stylish People Will Wear Nonstop This Season

Shop Talk is a biweekly column dedicated to exploring the latest styles and trends to hit the internet. We’ll sift through new arrivals to bring you the styles we’re loving, the trends gaining momentum, and the pieces you’ll want to see before they sell out.

Memorial Day weekend—AKA the official kickoff to the summer season—is finally here. I’ve been waiting for this all year. The UV index is almost as high as my urge to book a much-needed beach vacation, and naturally, I’ve already started spending a little too much money on my wardrobe refresh. But can you blame me? What better excuse to shop away than a new season? Summer has always been my favorite time of year, partly because my birthday is in July, but mostly because I’m obsessed with everything that comes with summer dressing. Linen, crochet, vibrant pops of color—I want all of it. If you also treat a new season as an excuse to add a few new pieces to your closet, I rounded up the summer staples every fashionable person will be wearing this season. Happy shopping!
