Rebooted AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU for the 10th anniversary of the AM4 socket spotted online for $310, keeping DDR4 and your hopes of a PC upgrade alive

In a move seemingly designed to make your erstwhile correspondent feel old, it seems AMD is rolling out a special edition of the trusty Ryzen 7 5800X3D gaming CPU to celebrate 10 years of the AM4 socket. Yup, 10 years.

Spotted by X user momomo_us (via Tom’s Hardware), the chip has been listed at Indian retailer 99Deals for the equivalent of around $310. The OG 5800X3D is in pretty limited supply these days. Listings on Newegg, for example, are limited to a supplier in Hong Kong for over $400. It’s a similar situation for the 5700X3D.
