Bahia’s Luciano Juba emerges as attacking option for Roma

Gian Piero Gasperini has clear ideas about how to strengthen Roma ahead of next season.

The Grugliasco-born coach has always been clear: the attack needs to be raised.

This is the Giallorossi’s priority: they need players with different characteristics than those currently in place. Gasperini likes to have plenty of choice in attack to be able to make significant changes throughout the match.

He tends to prefer making substitutions in attack, but he also needs top-notch resources from the bench.

This is why Roma, as Leggo reports, has begun exploring the name of Luciano Juba from Bahia.

Gasperini hoped for a more prolific attack in his first year in Rome. E

xcept for Malen, who arrived in January, no player in the squad has reached double figures in goals.

The defenders are making up for the lack of cynicism among the more attacking players, as was the case in the derby with Gianluca Mancini’s decisive brace. Up front, therefore, they will need new, strong names capable of integrating with the Grugliasco-born coach’s style of play. Many players are in their sights, from Greenwood to Nusa to Summerville.

Roma is also exploring the Brazilian market after their success with Wesley: they’re eyeing Luciano Juba of Bahia.

Born in 1999, he started out as a full-back but over the years has developed into a full-back. This season, he has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 15 games.
