Nike has found a recent recipe for Air Force 1 success with a string of colorful patent leather looks, and now the brand will extend the material to another one of its iconic models.

This time, it’s the skate-ready SB Dunk Low that’s undergoing the patent leather makeover in a Black Spruce/Metallic Gold colorway. While the specifics behind the upcoming style are unconfirmed, in-hand images give us a good idea of what to expect when the pair is released at retail this holiday season. 

The sneaker’s colorway translates to a dark green patent leather upper with a gold Swoosh and heel tab which also feature the patent leather sheen. Other details unique to the new SB Dunk Low style include a coat of arms-inspired graphic on the tongue, a special font on the heel Nike branding and a crest logo printed on the shoe’s cork insole. 

Given the colors and cork details of the upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low, it’s plausible that the pair is inspired by champagne bottles, although there’s no official confirmation yet. It’s also possible the new style could be part of a to-be-announced collaboration. 

Recent examples of popular patent leather Nikes are numerous. The reignited trend popped up throughout 2025 with Air Force 1 styles in Hydrangeas, Wolf Gray and Pink Cooler, but it’s gained even more steam this year with a colorful trio of Air Force 1 Quickstrike releases, a popular Easter colorway, a dressy set of black and white-based looks and most notably, on A Bathing Ape founder Nigo’s recent LO2 project with longtime associate Jun Takahashi.

This new Nike SB Dunk Low PRM WC Black Spruce/Metallic Gold colorway is set to be released during holiday 2026 for a retail price of $130. The style code for the sneaker is IQ0431-300.
