A number of Zwilling electric kettles have been recalled by Health Canada due to possible burn risks.

The recall applies to Zwilling Efinigy Kettle and Efinigy Kettle Pro devices with a 1.5 L capacity.

According to the company, 43,963 of these kettles were sold in Canada between February 2020 and February 2026.

Health Canada says the kettle’s handle can loosen or break off entirely during use.

In isolated cases, the product defect may cause hot water to spill from the kettle, creating a risk of scalding injuries to the user or bystanders in the immediate area, including small children,” Health Canada’s website says.

The company has received 21 reports of incidents and one report of a possible injury in Canada as of May 13, 2026, according to the notice.

Consumers should stop using the affected kettles immediately, according to Health Canada, and register for a refund.

For more information, consumers can contact Zwilling, and Health Canada encourages anyone who experiences safety issues when using the product to report those incidents.
