Team Liquid coach, tournament organizer, and commentator L4st has been banned from Super Smash Bros events in Georgia after allegations of sexual assault surfaced.
On May 11, the Georgia Smash X account posted a message explaining that moderators had received multiple complaints against Ryan ‘L4st’ Krichbaum from several individuals.
According to Georgia Smash, L4st was accused of rape, emotional abuse, manipulation, coercion, and multiple instances of sexual assault.
Krichbaum was privately banned from a few tournaments in Georgia in 2024 to protect the safety of one of his accusers at their request.
Georgia recommends L4st be banned from all major Smash Ultimate tournaments
The region’s statement further alleged that similar incidents involving L4st had occurred in other regions.
“Georgia Smash leadership recommends an indefinite ban from all Georgia events as well as regional events, majors, etc,” they said. “We also recommend that any tournament organizers communicate with us with any concerns they may have with Krichbaum or this ban.”
So far, L4st has not responded to the allegations publicly. Team Liquid has also updated its FGC roster page to remove “staff” but it’s unclear when this change was made. WayBackMachine last shows L4st as part of the page in April 2026.
Meanwhile, Georgia Smash is also facing criticism for not making these details public back in 2024 when L4st was privately banned from events.
In addition to being a commentator and event organizer, L4st was notably a coach for the most decorated Smash Ultimate player of all time, MkLeo.
