Announcement of new diplomatic appointment


January 22, 2024 – Ottawa, Ontario – Global Affairs Canada

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the following diplomatic appointment:

Robin Wettlaufer becomes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. Ms. Wettlaufer replaces Michael Callan.
