Chime’s account growth is outpacing that of Chase, CFO explains


Fintech company Chime Financial (CHYM) reported its first profitable quarter since its IPO in June 2025, beating first quarter earnings estimates while its revenue grew 25% year-over-year. The stock is dropping by as much as 12% on Thursday morning.

Chime CFO Matt Newcomb comes on Opening Bid to talk more about the company’s growth trajectory, ability to compete with major banks, and new account offerings for customers.
