Rachel Sennott Debuts Marc Jacobs Beauty Preview at 2026 Met Gala

Marc Jacobs Beauty is coming soon.

After announcing the relaunch of his eponymous line — formerly licensed under LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s Kendo — at New York Fashion Week in February, the designer gave the world a sneak peek at what’s to come in this new era at the 2026 Met Gala on Monday.

Dressed in an ’80s-inspired geometric gown and mismatched shoes, Rachel Sennott boasted a face full of Marc makeup, featuring the brand’s new eyeliner, set to release June 1. Celebrity artist Lilly Keys, whose A-list client roster also includes Emma Chamberlain, confirmed the product debut on Instagram, sharing photos of Sennott with a “soft lilac haze” melting over her lids above the jet-black liner.

The dark hue wrapped her eyes, with baby points at her inner and outer corners. Meanwhile, her lashes were intentionally clumped; her cheeks were dusted in baby-doll blush, and her lips boasted a matte cloud finish. “On Rachel, it’s retro reworked — soft, sculpted and just a little bit rebellious,” Keys wrote in her caption. WWD has reached out to the beauty architect for further comments on Sennott’s look.

It’s no surprise Jacobs used Sennott as the model for his new makeup at the Met. The 30-year-old writer and producer starred in the latest campaign for his label’s pre-fall 2026 collection entitled Scene. The short video sees Sennott attempt to go viral so she can — hopefully — secure an invite to the Met Gala. “It’s a big year. I’ve got to be there,” she says. Sennott proceeds to seek a cameo on “Subway Takes,” call the paparazzi on herself and contact Anna Wintour. It’s not until she gets home that she finally realizes the invite was already sent and slipped under her door.

Fans of Marc Jacobs makeup were pleased to learn the creative was reenlivening his beauty business, this time under Coty — the parent company of Cover Girl, Rimmel, Kylie Cosmetics and more — after it shuttered in 2021. Ironically, Jacobs wasn’t the only designer to soft-launch a beauty brand on the New York Fashion Week runway this year — Christian Siriano did the same, only his was a new seven-piece masstige skin care line called Runway by Christian Siriano. Not much has been said about the American designer’s foray into skin since then, and the release date has not yet been set.
