London Marathon: London Marathon is my ‘Everest’ – Matt Hampson


More than two decades after a life-changing injury, former England Under-21 rugby star Matt Hampson is tackling his “Everest” at the 2026 London Marathon. Navigating the course in a custom racing chair while ventilator-dependent, he’s supported by a dedicated team including former horse racing jockey, Sir AP McCoy, with the aim to help other young people through The Matt Hampson Foundation.
