Warning! Potential spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again follow.
Luke Cage actor Mike Colter posted — and very quickly deleted — a picture of him cheesing with former Defenders co-stars Deborah Ann Woll and Charlie Cox, after fans spotted what may be a spoiler for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.
Colter last officially appeared as The Hero of Harlem in Jessica Jones Season 3 seven years ago, so fans were stunned to see him appear alongside what very much looks to be Cox and Woll in costume as Daredevil and Karen Page in an Instagram post today. The picture, which was one of 20 and not the only Marvel tease, was snappily deleted, but not before his audience of more than 400,000 followers was able to screenshot and share it around.
The picture makes it seem like Matt Murdock and Luke Cage may be teaming up again, but there’s more hidden in the image for those looking to understand what may be in the pipeline for future episodes of Daredevil: Born Again. Fans online have noticed that the image appears to have been taken in what looks like a prison, with Cox’s outfit suggesting Matt Murdock may be gearing up to serve some time.

Colter isn’t quite the first to ruin the potential surprise, though. Images taken from the set of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 emerged last week, revealing sneak peeks at not only a return for Luke Cage but more from Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones and even Finn Jones as Iron Fist a.k.a. Danny Rand. A full-on Defenders reunion wasn’t something most Marvel fans were expecting, but given the evidence that has been revealed in the last few days, it seems all but officially confirmed.
The Instagram post that likely landed Colter in hot water with Marvel has been cleaned up to remove any mention of Cox and Woll, but it’s not without an MCU Easter Egg or two. The very first slide of the post, which somehow remains available to see at the time of this article’s’s publication, features Colter in a car with Ritter and Jones.
“Well, guess the cat’s out of the bag,” Jones replied with a comment on the post.
Despite the waterfall of content leaking for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, the Disney+ show still has yet to finish airing its second season. Episode 5, The Grand Design, is set to premiere on April 14. Three more will air each following Tuesday until May 5, with The Punisher: One Last Kill special then set to arrive May 12.
Daredevil fans have had plenty to chew on in between episodes, too. Over the weekend, Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum fueled fan theories about a potential Watcher appearance with his own Instagram post. While we wait for the show to continue, you can read our 8/10 review for Season 2 Episode 4.
