Takaichi Urges Constitutional Reform Talks as Hormuz Risk Looms


Takaichi’s party holds a supermajority in the more powerful lower house. She remains popular among the public, with some polls showing her approval ratings still register over 70%. Still, she lacks a majority in the upper house, meaning a move to revise the constitution could still fail before it reaches a public vote.
