Although Nike, Inc.’s beloved Air Jordan Retro reissues don’t adhere to a strict schedule, there are certain pairs — such as the upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Bred” — that are all but guaranteed to make frequent appearances. Then, there are others that are so seldom seen that decades pass before they’re seen again. Such is the case for 2005’s Air Jordan 10 Retro “Red Steel,” but that’s set to change next year.

The Air Jordan 10 Retro Red Steel is set to receive its first-ever reissue during spring 2027. The news comes courtesy of @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, who report that the style will return in retro form along with other early 2000s styles. While the Red Steel colorway wasn’t actually worn in NBA action by Michael Jordan, its red accents gave it a Chicago Bulls-adjacent look that proved popular with fans in ’05.

With a full colorway of White/Varsity Red/Light Steel Gray, the Red Steel colorway features a white tumbled leather upper with red leather filling in the tongue and uppermost panel. Gray accents are inserted on the eyelets, striped outsole and on the shoe’s signature checkerboard liner. The red-accented pair is a spin on the original Steel style of the Air Jordan 10, which was first released in 1994.

The Air Jordan 10’s legacy doesn’t hold quite the same weight as other models in the 40-year-old franchise. While popular, the Air Jordan 10 was only worn briefly by Jordan following his first NBA retirement and was overshadowed by its predecessor, the Air Jordan 11, which is widely considered to be one of the best sneakers of all time.

After a lengthy 22-year wait, the Air Jordan 10 Retro Red Steel will return in early ’27. A style code and price point for the pair have yet to be confirmed, but readers can expect availability from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers.
