The Wales Bonner effect can be felt not only at Adidas but throughout the sneaker space through the abundance of animal prints, often on pony hair, that have been dropping recently. The two partners will soon continue their explorations into the wild with a quite realistic rattlesnake look coming to one of Adidas’ core models.

The Wales Bonner x Adidas Gazelle Indoor “Rattlesnake” is one of three confirmed sneakers coming from in their forthcoming capsule. The namesake print and texture adorns the shoe’s base, while light brown leather with a slight suggestion of aging is applied to the T-toe, eyestays and tongue. Darker brown leather is then used for the mustache and striping, the latter of which carries the crochet stitching signature to the collaborators. Continuing the earth tones to round out the shoe is a brown cupsole.

A second Gazelle indoor will launch alongside the faux-snakeskin look with dark brown pony hair dominating its upper. Two new takes on the Karintha are coming as well, in black-and-white and white-and-black arrangements with the same brown leather from the Gazelle appearing on their T-toes, as well as a blue lining and brown sole.

In addition to the cheetah print pony hair Samba that debuted in 2023 as a high-point for the six-year-old partnership, Wales Bonner has also had a leg up on current sneaker trends with crocodile-textured leather being used on the same model a year later.

The Wales Bonner x Adidas Gazelle Indoor “Rattlesnake” and the rest of the collection is expected to release relatively soon. Pricing for the sneakers has yet to be confirmed.
