S&P/TSX composite rises more than 200 points, U.S. stock markets mixed




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index finished more than 200 points higher, helped by gains in the basic materials sector, while U.S. markets were mixed.
The S&P/TSX composite index was up 218.05 points at 33,695.76.
