The Interior Department has submitted design renderings of the proposed triumphal arch that would sit between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
The proposal calls for the arch to be built in a traffic circle on the banks of the Potomac River. It would be 250 feet tall, dwarfing the 99-foot tall Lincoln Memorial.
Interior Department plans
The president has championed this project, sharing design concepts over the last several months.
The Commission of Fine Arts, a panel composed entirely of Trump appointees, will hear a presentation about the arch on April 16.
