Among the 17 transfer portal additions, combined with 25 of 26 freshmen from the 2026 signing class who have taken part in spring practice, Texas A&M’s 2026 roster is extremely talented. PicKell ranked the Aggies’ 2026 roster No. 8 among his top 10 rankings, going off of fellow On3 journalist Chris Low’s recent article detailing Mike Elko’s coaching strategy, focused on developing players who possess “NFL talent,” no matter their star ranking as recruits.

While Marcel Reed will be playing in front of four new starting offensive linemen, Texas A&M’s defense should be one of the top-performing units in the SEC, while the addition of transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton provides more size in the passing game, which, if the blocking holds up, should match or better last season’s scoring average.
