This is probably my favorite Kindle, if I’m being honest. At 10.2 inches, it’s got a luxuriously large display, but it’s still super lightweight, lighter than any full-size tablet. The note-taking feature is the real star of the show. With the included stylus, you can write notes in a separate notes app, or annotate your books as you read them, and the experience of using the stylus feels remarkably like writing on paper with a pencil. It’s quick, responsive, and such a joy to use.

The 2022 Kindle is currently Amazon’s most affordable e-reader, featuring adjustable front lighting, ridiculous battery life, and a nice, lightweight feel in the hand. It’s a great pick if you’re just looking for a basic e-reader to toss in your bag or take on the road. No bells, no whistles, just reliable performance. Note that this is a refurbished model, meaning it’s been used before. Woot lists it as “Scratch & Dent” quality, meaning you may notice some minor wear on the surface (which is why it’s so much cheaper than a new full-price model), but otherwise it’s in full working condition.
