Eugene Mirman, a comedian and voice actor in “Bob’s Burgers,” is speaking out just days after he was pulled from a car engulfed in flames following a crash into a New Hampshire toll booth.

“Thank you so much for all the well wishes, love and kind messages from friends and strangers,” Mirman wrote in an Instagram post Friday. “I am extraordinarily thankful to the heroic people that pulled me from the car and to the warm, kind and talented staff at the hospital that cared for me and got me on the mend!”
Mirman said he is doing “relatively alright, all things considered,” but didn’t offer details on his injuries or condition.
In the photo posted with the Instagram update, Mirman’s arm could be seen wrapped in bandages as he held an illustration that said “Life is an adventure.”
“I don’t have my phone, so haven’t been online much. I do not recommend my method of decreasing screen-time,” he joked in the post.
“If you’re a friend who sent a kind, loving message, you should know that it was hard to not respond with, ‘I’d love to be on your podcast,'” Mirman wrote. “I love you all and please take care of yourselves.”
Mirman was taken to the hospital after the Tuesday crash, which happened at the Bedford Toll Plaza on the Everett Turnpike, New Hampshire State Police said in a statement Tuesday.
His car, a 2026 Lucid Gravity, caught fire after the crash.
Witnesses reported seeing someone trapped inside, police said. A state trooper, who was assigned to Gov. Kelly Ayotte’s security detail, passed by the crash and pulled Mirman out of the car.
Local news coverage of the aftermath of the crash showed the vehicle in flames and wedged in the toll booth.
The crash is under investigation, and no charges have been filed, police said in the Tuesday statement.
Mirman, whose real name is Yevgeny Mirman, voices the role of Gene Belcher on long-running animated series “Bob’s Burgers” on Fox.
