Here are our PS Plus monthly games for April

Another month means another batch of games for PlayStation Plus, and today Sony revealed what’s in store for all subscribers this April.

Those with a PlayStation Plus membership – be it Essential, Extra or Premium – will be able to enjoy the following games this coming month:

  • Lords of the Fallen (PS5)
  • Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered (PS4/5)
  • Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream (PS5)

When Lords of the Fallen was initially released, we weren’t overly taken by it all. “Missing the elegance of FromSoftware, Lords of the Fallen is let down by Soulslike clichés and performance woes,” reads Eurogamer’s two star review. However, since then, Hexworks has made a number of improvements to the game, and I am pleased to say it is now in a much better state than it was at launch. A Lord of the Fallen sequel was subsequently announced to be in the works back in 2024, by publisher CI Games.

As for Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, here’s what Christian Donlan had to say on its original release: “I still love this collection, because it’s carefully made and lovingly updated, but also awkward, elbowy, frustrating and prone to leaving me stuck. It’s a collection that understands that Tomb Raider was absolutely a game about its controls, and it still should be – even if it doesn’t quite know how to deliver on that,” reads Eurogamer’s Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered review, which acknowledges some of the original’s now dated qualities.

Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream will be available for all PlayStation Plus members from Tuesday, 7th April. They will remain on the service until Monday, 4th May (or as it is known in these parts, Star Wars Day).
