The New England Patriots are reportedly leaving all options on the table as free agency continues.

Essentially, the franchise isn’t ruling out any move at this point in the offseason, most notably, a potential blockbuster trade for Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown.

“We’ve talked about this since last January,” Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel stated Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

“We’re going to try to do everything we can to strengthen our roster through the draft, through free agency, multiple ways of player acquisition. So anything that we can continue to do to strengthen the roster, we’re going to try to do.”

It’s reasonable to assume that if the Eagles were to trade Brown later this offseason, the Patriots would be the most ideal landing spot/suitor.

Brown has been linked to New England since the end of the 2025-26 NFL season, and with the six-time Super Bowl champions releasing Stefon Diggs in early March, it would make sense for them to pursue Brown sooner rather than later.

By now, it’s no secret that the Eagles are retaining their three-time Pro Bowl receiver, for now. However, for the right price (likely a first and second round pick), the Patriots could convince Philadelphia to move on from their star wideout after four eventful seasons.

Vrabel’s recent comments will likely resonate with the Patriots’ fan base.
