Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway Attend ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Premiere

Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway hit the red carpet on Monday night in Mexico City in looks by Schiaparelli and Stella McCartney for the premiere and photo call of their highly anticipated new film “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”

Styled by Micaela Erlanger, Streep’s look consisted of a long blue shirtdress with gold button accents and a belted waist for added silhouette definition. The long-sleeve look was designed with a sharp collar, while the buttons down the front placket of the piece featured the French luxury fashion house‘s quintessential eye motifs, among other idiosyncrasies.

Schiaparelli elements continued throughout the rest of the three-time Oscar winner’s look, including gold and pearl teeth earrings from the label and Schiaparelli’s mini face bag. Streep paired the look with peep-toe platform black heels and wore glasses with her hair pulled back into a ponytail.

As for Hathaway, the actress turned to the runway for her style inspo. Styled by Erin Walsh, the “Les Misérables” Oscar winner wore a look from designer Stella McCartney’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted as part of Paris Fashion Week earlier in March.

The shimmering look featured a deep rode tone with allover sequins for plenty of sartorial sparkle and shine. A flouncy hemline gave way to sheer tights, which were invariably covered with thigh-high black boots. Hathaway wore her long hair down with a middle part and added another pop of color with a red lip.

Monday night’s Mexico City photo call and premiere for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” marks the first promotional event for the sequel of the 2006 film, an adaptation of the 2003 novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger. Production for the sequel took place during the summer of 2025, with cast members spotted in costume pieces and designs by Gabriela Hearst, archival Jean Paul Gaultier and Dior, among other labels and designers.
