It’s that time of year again

Netflix has raised prices across the board, with the cheapest ad-supported plan now costing $8.99 per month, according to recently updated details on the streaming service’s support website. Subscribing to Netflix is getting more expensive by $1 to $2 per month — more if you have extra members associated with your core account.

The Standard Netflix plan will now cost $19.99 per month, a $1 increase. That plan includes ad-free movies, TV series, and games, playable on up to two devices at a time. Netflix’s standard plan offers 1080p resolution and the option to add an extra member for $7.99 per month with ads or $9.99 per month without ads. The extra member fee has also gone up by a dollar.

Netflix’s top-tier Premium plan now costs $26.99 per month, a $2 increase. Premium offers streaming for up to four devices at a time, plus 4K resolution, HDR, and spatial audio. The high-end option also allows up to two extra members to be added to the subscription.

The company last raised prices in January 2025, with plans similarly going up by $1 to $2 per month.

Polygon has reached out to Netflix for comment on its latest price hike and will update when the company responds. The company typically says that it raises prices to “invest in programming and deliver more value” for its subscribers. Netflix has recently boosted its investments in video podcasts and live events, and said that it plans to invest approximately $20 billion in “quality films and series and will expand [its] entertainment offering.” Among those big investments is a pricey sequel to KPop Demon Hunters.

Netflix recently backed off plans to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery after Paramount Skydance outbid it. In January, Netflix said it had more than 325 million subscribers worldwide as of the end of 2025.
