Shop Talk is a biweekly column dedicated to exploring the latest styles and trends to hit the internet. We’ll sift through new arrivals to bring you the styles we’re loving, the trends gaining momentum, and the pieces you’ll want to see before they sell out.

Yesterday, I spent about six hours skimming through the new arrivals of Banana Republic, Gap, Madewell, Aligne, and Shopbop. (It’s safe to say I love my job!) While each retailer has its own spin on spring collections, I noticed a pattern. The theme for spring is lightweight outerwear, classic denim, lace details, and flat footwear. In the spring jacket category, we have parkas and car coats—utilitarian styles that will help us brave the spring elements in style. For shoes and accessories, don’t sleep on a mule, an east-west shoulder bag, or a bandana. I could go on, but I’ll cut to the chase and introduce you to 43 of the best arrivals below.
