All Mounts And Vehicles In Crimson Desert

Are you excited to obtain vehicles and mounts in Crimson Desert? You’ll be roaming across the vast landscapes of Pywel, so it’s certainly better to traverse regions while riding something, as opposed to going on foot. We’ve got all the details for you in this guide, but be forewarned that there are some spoilers ahead.

The Hespia and other horses

The Hespia is your first mount in Crimson Desert. It’s available shortly after the prologue, and it’s going to be your trusty companion for quite some time. Here are some additional tidbits that you need to know about horse mounts:

  • You can call your mount by pressing “H” on a keyboard or up on a controller’s D-pad.
  • Horses level up the more you ride them. This boosts their defense, speed, stamina, and other attributes.
  • Horses can be outfitted at stables. You can equip them with caparisons, horseshoes, saddles, and more.
  • If your horse is heavily injured and is unable to gallop, you need to charge your Force Palm ability. Then, press the button prompt for Healing to hit them in the torso. Yes, this ability actually brings them back to tip-top condition.
  • You can tame wild horses of varying species, too. Approach one and jump on its back to begin a minigame. The goal is to tilt the left thumbstick in the direction of the horse’s tail as it bucks around.

Wagon

To be clear, you can steal Wagons in Crimson Desert, but they don’t count as your property. At best, you can sell them to Wagon Fences who’ll pay a decent price.

If you want to unlock Wagons permanently, then you need to put a bit of effort:

  • Keep upgrading the Greymane Camp at Howling Hill. Eventually, you’ll be able to recruit a group of Greymanes, one of whom is named Brice.
  • Brice will become the Wagon Master at your camp. He’ll also have a commission for you, which entails crafting any type of Wagon in Timberturner Wainwright.
  • Start a dispatch mission to craft the Wagon and wait until it’s completed. It should then appear in Brice’s workshop.
  • Talk to Brice to place trade goods inside the vehicle. You can then drive it to Trading Posts to make some extra cash.

Cloudcart

The hot air balloon, known in-game as the Cloudcart, is yet another mode of transport that you can unlock. We’ve got more details about it in our Cloudcart crafting guide.

Delesyia Train

Once you reach the region of Delesyia in the southeastern part of the continent, check your surroundings to see railroad tracks. Follow these and you’ll stumble upon a train. You can grapple onto it or climb it, and just ride it all across the countryside.

ATAG

The All-Terrain Armored Gear (ATAG) is another type of vehicle or mount in Crimson Desert. It comes into play during Chapter 10, when you have to defeat the mecha creatures that are assaulting the Ironflame Orcs’ bastion of Gorthak.

The ATAG boasts a rapid-fire machine gun, a defense array, a ramming maneuver, a wide-area blast cannon, and even an EMP discharge. Later, you can upgrade the ATAG with new and improved contraptions, including lasers, pincers, and heavy plating.

Blackstar Dragon

You’ve seen the trailers, so you know the game has a Dragon, and one that you can actually ride. This big fella known as Blackstar becomes your blazing buddy very late in the campaign. We’ve got all the details for you in our Blackstar Dragon guide.

These are just some of the vehicles and mounts that we’ve discovered in Crimson Desert. We’ll keep you posted in case we come across others, so stay tuned. In the meantime, since you’re roaming around while riding stuff, you might want to bring some cute creatures with you. Take a look at our pets and animal companions guide to see how you can summon lovable furballs.

The lands of Pywel are vast and you are the only one who can keep the peace. As you explore distant realms and battle numerous foes, you might want to read about various tips in our Crimson Desert guides hub.
