Bloomingdale’s and contemporary brand Vince celebrated their partnership with a party and fashion preview Wednesday evening at the Sheats-Goldstein residence in Los Angeles.

Top Bloomingdale’s and Vince executives, clientele from both brands as well as influencers and stylists gathered at the home — a 1963 masterpiece of organic architecture designed by John Lautner for Paul and Helen Sheats — for dinner and a preview of Vince’s capsule collection exclusive to Bloomingdale’s current “California Love” campaign. Bloomingdale’s chief merchant, Denise Magid, and Caroline Belhumeur, chief creative officer of Vince, hosted the event.

The capsule collection of 21 men’s and women’s styles reflects Vince’s California roots and the laid-back poise of West Coast living, has “Designed in California” tags and is available only at Bloomingdale’s for a limited time. The women’s collection features relaxed silhouettes, silk satin tops, linen wide-leg pants, textured pleated skirts and lightweight summer cashmere sweaters in soft tones with coral highlights. The menswear features macro honeycomb stitch polos, soft T-shirts, cashmere sweaters, and lightweight premium cotton pants.

“California is a wealth of inspiration for me, whether it’s the coastline or the desert, or the colors of the landscapes and the light. Vince’s design atelier is located at the foot of the Hollywood Hills and it felt like a natural collaboration to share what California means to us,” said Caroline Belhumeur, chief creative officer of Vince, in a statement. “The spring capsule collection, in a sun-washed palette, is constructed in effortless silhouettes designed for movement and ease.”

Jill Norton, Vince’s chief commercial officer, added, “This capsule reflects the relaxed yet refined approach that is true to Vince’s L.A. roots and the California lifestyle.”

The Vince party was just one of several ways Bloomingdale’s in L.A. celebrated California Love over the past week, including a panel at the Century City store with Diane von Furstenberg showcasing the Estee Lauder x DVF In Charge collection, and a party with Bron and Magid at the headquarters of Frame. This Saturday, members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic will perform bespoke orchestral arrangement to celebrate the Agolde x Tupac Shakur Estate collection and his California Love record. And there will be several culinary and wellness experiences, including Express Massages, and an Alfred Coffee and matcha pop-up.
