He announced on LinkedIn that he was joining Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Rebecca Alty’s office as director of parliamentary affairs.

Williams has spent the past two-and-a-half years in the agriculture minister’s office, spending the last 10 months as a senior special assistant for parliamentary affairs and issues.

Williams hails from Elmsdale, P.E.I. and moved to Ottawa in 2021 to complete a Master’s in political management at Carleton University.

Before the move, he spent working for Egmont MP Bobby Morrissey and the PEI Provincial Liberal Caucus.

After moving to Ottawa, he joined then-international trade minister Mary Ng’s office in January 2022 as a legislative Assistant before moving up to become her parliamentary affairs and issues advisor as well as Atlantic regional advisor.

Williams joined the agriculture minister’s team in August 2023 as parliamentary affairs and issues advisor. He joined the office after Lawrence MacAualy was named agriculture minister (again) in the July 2023 shuffle.

Williams stayed in the role until the 2025 federal election, where he returned to the Egmont riding to manage Liberal incumbent Bobby Morrissey’s campaign.

After the election, he rejoined the agriculture minister’s office.
