As Revlon Consumer Products continues with its turnaround strategy, it’s doubling down on fragrances, signing a licensing agreement with Iconix International.
As part of the deal, Revlon will develop and launch the first-ever Salt Life fragrance collection for the coastal lifestyle brand, debuting in 2027. Future expansion is planned across personal care and adjacent beauty categories.
Amber Garrison, president of fragrances at Revlon, said: “Salt Life represents an outdoor lifestyle of freedom and enjoyment in a way that resonates strongly with today’s fragrance consumer. We see a meaningful opportunity to translate that lifestyle into a fragrance portfolio that feels modern, aspirational, and globally relevant.”
Founded in 2003 and acquired by Iconix in 2024, Salt Life has evolved from a coastal apparel label into a multi-category lifestyle brand spanning apparel, swimwear, accessories, home, hospitality, and beverages.
“Salt Life has built a powerful connection with consumers through its authentic, ocean-inspired lifestyle,” said Bob Galvin, chief executive officer of Iconix International. “Fragrance is a natural extension of that connection, and Revlon is the ideal partner to bring this next chapter to life on a global scale.”
Boosting its fragrance offering is one part of chief executive officer Michelle Peluso’s turnaround plan, in addition to reinvigorating the company’s namesake brand.
Revlon inked a fragrance licensing deal with sportswear brand Champion, with men’s and women’s scents set for a 2027 launch. Champion is owned by Authentic Brands Group, which also partners with Revlon on the Juicy Couture brand, the license for which was renewed last year. There was also a licensing deal with Grammy-nominated rapper Ice Spice, whose first scent is set to launch this year, and with Palm Angels, for a 2027 introduction. And in early 2026, Elizabeth Arden debuted its first fragrance in eight years.
