Albertans will be going to the polls October 19th — not to elect a government, but rather to cast ballots on at least nine questions in an historic referendum. Those questions reflect Alberta’s desire to take more control over management of immigration and also to pursue a constitutional realignment within Canada. Of course, it’s also quite likely that this referendum ballot will include a question on Alberta’s very future in Confederation and whether the province should leave Canada.
