In Pro Football Focus’ latest 2026 NFL mock draft, the Tennessee Titans trade up to select Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love with the No. 2 overall pick.
Love was widely regarded as the top overall prospect in the 2026 NFL draft class before the NFL Scouting Combine, and his strong performance in drills there only reinforced that view. Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza—the 2025 Heisman Trophy winner—is widely projected to go No. 1 overall to the Las Vegas Raiders, whose need at the position opens the door for the Titans to target Love at No. 2.

PFF’s Gordon McGuiness has the Titans sending their No. 4 overall pick, along with picks No. 35 and No. 101, to the New York Jets in exchange for the No. 2 selection, which they use on Love.
The Titans have been one of the most active teams in free agency so far, adding several defensive line contributors, in particular. That increases the chances that they will look at running back Jeremiyah Love in the first round. But with the Cardinals ahead of them, it may be necessary to trade up.
Love earned a PFF overall grade above 90.0 in each of the past two seasons and is the clear top running back in this class.
The Titans pay a steep price to move up for Love. The selection bolsters their running back room, which already includes 1,000-yard rusher Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears.
