Breeze Airways’ 10 Longest Nonstop Flights Revealed

This year, American low-cost carrier Breeze Airways will turn five years old, with the then-startup airline having operated its first flight back in May of 2021. Since then, its fleet has grown to include 54 Airbus A220-300s (2.5 years old on average) and eight Embraer E190s (18.6 years old on average), with another 44 units of the former model also on order according to ch-aviation. The A220s, in particular, are used for some rather long flights.

Indeed, current scheduling data made available by Cirium, an aviation analytics company, shows that, in the second quarter of 2026, which runs from April to June, there are four Breeze Airways routes on which passengers can expect a maximum block time of more than six hours. In this article, we will be taking a closer look at these particular routes, as well as another six that come in just below the six-hour mark to round out the top ten.

Rhode Island To Southern California

As seen in the map above, the cross-country odyssey from Rhode Island TF Green International Airport (PVD) in Providence to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in southern California is Breeze Airways’ longest scheduled nonstop passenger route in Q2 of this year. Passengers flying on this transcontinental corridor can expect a maximum block time of six hours and 22 minutes in the westbound direction on the 137-seat A220.

This route operates seasonally, with this year’s coverage starting on May 8. From then onward, Breeze Airways will serve this route twice a week, with its coverage in the second quarter of the year amounting to a grand total of 16 flights in each direction, split between seven in May and nine in June. Breeze announced its plans to serve LAX from Providence in March 2022, with Justin Erbacci, the CEO of Los Angeles World Airports, saying that:

“There is a growing demand for nonstop flights between LAX and East Coast destinations, and we are pleased that Breeze Airways shares our goal to provide our passengers with more flight options.”

Three More Routes Have Block Times In Excess Of Six Hours

If spending six hours or more on an Airbus A220 is your idea of a great day out, there are three more Breeze Airways routes that will fit the bill in the second quarter of the year. Ranking second by duration is the route from Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here, passengers can reckon with a maximum block time of six hours and 11 minutes.

This puts it just ahead of another Breeze Airways route from Windsor Locks, namely its corridor to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in the US federal state of Arizona, which maxes out at six hours and five minutes in the westbound direction. The carrier plans to serve this route 24 times in Q2 with its A220s, with 13 flights in April and 11 in May, compared to 39 for the route to Las Vegas (13 flights apiece in April, May, and June).

Rounding out the list of Breeze Airways’ routes whose maximum block times exceed the six-hour mark (and by the barest of margins!) is the carrier’s corridor from Richmond International Airport (RIC) in Virginia to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) in northern California. The block time on this route tops out at six hours and one minute in the westbound direction, with Breeze having penciled in eight round trips apiece in May and June.

Elsewhere in Virginia, Norfolk (ORF) is home to four of the remaining six routes that make up Breeze’s longest nonstop flights in Q2 by maximum block time. Flying from here to Las Vegas can take up to five hours and 49 minutes, putting this fifth-placed route just ahead of Norfolk to LAX (five hours and 47 minutes) in sixth. In eighth and tenth, Phoenix and San Diego (SAN) are five hours and 43 minutes and five hours and 42 minutes away.

The former of these two corridors actually ranks joint eighth, with Breeze’s flights from Richmond to Las Vegas also taking a maximum of five hours and 43 minutes in Q2. This just about leaves space for seventh-placed Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) to Las Vegas, at five hours and 44 minutes.
