It seems that PlayStation’s upcoming PS Plus Extra games for March have leaked.
According to the ever-reliable Dealabs, the following games will be added for Extra subscribers from Tuesday, 17th March:
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (PS5)
- Persona 5 Royal (PS5 | PS4)
- Madden NFL 26 (PS5)
- Metal Eden (PS5)
- The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria (PS5)
- Astroneer (PS4)
So, what of those games? The big headliners here are probably Persona 5 Royal – an expanded edition of the JRPG, which adds new characters, storylines, places to hang out and welcome quality-of-life improvements to make a phantom thief’s life even smoother – and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
“Persona 5 Royal brands itself as the definitive version of the game, and introduces an extensive list of improvements – if you’ve played Persona 5 before, you’ll definitely notice how P-Studio worked to fix a few common gripes,” reads Eurogamer’s Persona 5 Royal review.
Meanwhile, we called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 a “thunderous triple-A spectacle” on its release.
“Space Marine 2’s campaign is a spectacular and mostly thrilling follow-up to the original, but the game’s grisly combat shines best in its cooperative Operations mode,” reads Eurogamer’s four star Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 review.
As a Lord of the Rings fan, I will also be giving Return to Moria a go. “Though it doesn’t stray far from the standard survival game formula and often lacks polish, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria offers a moody, atmospheric descent through Tolkien’s world – with plenty of lighter moments to be found along the way,” reads Eurogamer’s three star Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria review.
It is expected that Sony will officially announce March’s PS Plus Extra games in the very near future, so stay tuned for more.
