NAILS OUT: Among the more surprising guests to pop up at Paris Fashion Week this season is Macaulay Culkin. Having taken in the Dior show earlier in the week, the actor was among the guests at Duran Lantink’s sophomore outing for Jean Paul Gaultier.
“I want to do something different. And so I was like, you know what? I want to put my toe in this water and see if I want to go swimming. And it’s actually been going swimmingly,” he quipped. “I’ve been exposed to so many new things, and I like a good adventure.”
The “Home Alone” star joined fellow guests Naomi Watts, Barbie Ferreira, Tokischa, Lennon Gallagher and Tyla at the show. The only person missing was his wife, Brenda Song. “I just miss my lady. I wish she was here, because this is more her bag than my bag,” he said.
Though Culkin has been attending shows sans entourage, he finds the fashion circus quite overwhelming.
“The most surprising thing is organizing my anxiety. I’m talking to strangers, I’m here, it’s loud. But also at the same time, managing that is kind of a part of life,” he mused. “So I’ve actually been enjoying the ride. It’s like a loop-de-loop on a roller coaster.”
He certainly seemed to be having fun, once again coordinating his manicure to his outfit – this time, blue nails to go with his blue-and-white Op Art shirt. “The nails always match,” he said with a smile. “I like to put a little spice on it, put a little stink on it.”

Watts was attending her fourth show this week, and confessed she was running out of steam. “My brain is rather flat today. I’m barely standing,” she said. “But I love it. I love fashion, and my daughter’s in this one, so obviously not missing.”
Kai Schreiber, her daughter with Liev Schreiber, also walked for Balmain and Mugler, and mother and daughter attended the Balenciaga show the night before. Watts has proudly watched Kai’s modeling career take off after a breakout season last fall.
“We’ve been more selective, and keeping it small this time. And yeah, I’m not surprised. She has a strong passion. She loves fashion, and probably why I’ve sort of reinvested in it myself, although that’s where I started – in fashion – when I was, like, 19, 20,” she said.
“So we’re being intentional and very excited for what’s going on. This is what she loves. This is what she wants to do, and she’s really good at it,” Watts added.
The actress, who sat next to “The Substance” director Coralie Fargeat, will be returning as Liberty Ronson for a second season of “All’s Fair,” so expect to see more capes, which she described as the character’s “armor.” Sadly, she did not get to keep any wardrobe items from season one.
“We weren’t allowed to hold on to it because there was always the possibility of a second season. I think I managed to walk off with a pair of shoes,” she said.
