Utah-based low-cost carrier Breeze Airways takes off with six new routes between Friday, March 6, and Friday, March 13, introducing five new routes in the West, and a new intra-Florida route between Orlando and Pensacola, all on sale now with seats available from just $39 one-way. These are just the beginning of a major expansion of routes by the airline, as reported last week.
Breeze continues to grow with operations domestically, and to Mexico and the Caribbean, and offers a unique network of flights usually operating between smaller markets, utilizing their fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft and Embraer 190. Connecting Orlando With Pensacola
From March 12, Breeze Airways will take off from
Orlando International Airport (MCO) nonstop to Pensacola. The flight, which will take approximately one hour and 35 minutes westbound, and one hour 30 minutes for the return, covering 380 miles (620 kilometers) and be operated twice weekly.
Breeze will become the third carrier operating this route, going head-to-head with ultra-low-cost carriers Frontier and Spirit. For Breeze, its selling point on the route to differentiate itself from the ULCCs is its smaller aircraft and offering no change or cancellation fees.
Breeze already has a growing presence in Pensacola, with year-round flights to Fayetteville/Bentonville, Memphis, and Tampa, with Fort Lauderdale launching on May 7. Additional seasonal services connect to Raleigh/Durham, and San Antonio will launch on June 10. Breeze’s new Pensacola schedule below:

Five New Routes For The West
Breeze will introduce new services to California Redwood Coast Humboldt County Airport (ACV) – serving Arcata and Eureka for the first time, launching non-stop services to Las Vegas (March 11) and Burbank (March 12), both thrice weekly. Breeze will become the second carrier at ACV after
United Airlines (United Express). Alaska Airlines is also set to launch services to ACV in
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport from April 8.
Provo Municipal Airport (PVU) will also debut with flights returning to Las Vegas from March 13. Operating twice weekly, the service will complement Breeze’s presence at the Utah airport, with services already on offer to Burbank, Dallas/Fort Worth, Orange County, Orlando, Phoenix–Sky Harbor, San Bernardino, San Francisco, and Washington–Dulles.
Breeze also launched a new service between Las Vegas and Santa Ana, John Wayne Airport (SNA) on Friday, March 6, which will operate daily, and will face plenty of competition on this airport pair as Delta, Frontier, JSX, Southwest, and Spirit Airlines all operate on the route.
What Should Breeze Do Next?
Breeze Airways burst onto the scene in 2021, and has deftly navigated the post-pandemic surge in leisure travel to become the fastest-growing carrier in the US. With 52 Airbus A220s in the fleet and a further 38 on the way, it has been adding new routes and cities at a prodigious rate, and just yesterday Simple Flying reported on its latest round of expansion.
The airline hit profitability last year, and with David Neeleman at the helm, surely has a lot more growth ahead of it. But if you were him, how would you steer Breeze through the next few years — more routes, greater frequency, fleet changes, international expansion, or something else? In short: What should Breeze do next?
Breeze Flights Come To Magic Valley
The last new service taking flight will provide the first Breeze flights from Las Vegas to Magic Valley Regional Airport (TWF), serving Twin Falls, Idaho. Breeze becomes just the second airline to serve this airport, after
Delta Air Lines (Delta Connection) with its non-stop flights to Salt Lake City.
Breeze launched the new service to Magic Valley on Friday, March 6, and the route will be operated twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. The service operates as a continuation of the Santa Ana to Las Vegas flights, as per Flightradar24.

Breeze Airways began operations back in May 2021, and was co-founded by David Neeleman, the same founder of Morris Air, WestJet, JetBlue and Brazilian carrier Azul Linhas Aereas. The airline’s first flight commenced on May 27, 2021 between Tampa and Charleston. The carrier markets itself as a premium low-cost carrier, with no change or cancellation fees, and the option to buy food and drink onboard. WiFi is available, and checked baggage is available at a cost, or included in higher fare types.
