Brazilian planemaker Embraer has released its full-year results for 2025, revealing a sharp rise in revenues and backlog. The company achieved over $7.5 billion in revenue last year, while its firm-order backlog now exceeds $31 billion, a record high and more than 20% higher year-on-year.
This includes a book-to-bill rate of almost three new aircraft orders per sale, with a massive 42% year-on-year increase in backlog value for its E175 and E2 product range. The planemaker also outdid itself in commercial deliveries last year, achieving a total of 78 commercial aircraft deliveries, compared to 73 planes in 2024.
Embraer’s Backlog Continues To Grow
Embraer’s Q4 and full-year results for 2025 show the company is on an upward trajectory, with its backlog growing by an impressive 20% in the space of just 12 months. With over 150 new orders for its E2-Jet range of aircraft — complemented by the company’s thriving defense portfolio — bagged in 2025, the value of Embraer’s firm-order backlog now stands at over $31.6 billion, up from $26.4 billion at the end of 2024. Approximately $14.5 billion of this is for its commercial products, driven by a surge in orders for its Embraer E-Jet range.

In fact, this figure was even higher during Q3 2025 ($15.2 billion), but declined by 5% with the restructuring of Azul’s order during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy process, which declined from 51 to 25 jets. According to Embraer, it now has 235 firm backlogs for the E195-E2, another 190 outstanding orders for the E175, and 34 firm orders for the E190-E2. This equals a total of 459 firm orders for its commercial range, with more than 400 options and purchasing rights on top. Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO, Embraer, commented,
“2025 was a remarkable period for our company. We met our deliveries guidance on the operational side, while we outperformed expectations on the financial side. This performance reflects a longer trend.”
Notable Embraer Orders Last Year
Embraer managed an impressive 154 E2 sales in 2025, which is more than double its best-ever year in 2015, when it managed 76 firm orders. In the last quarter, Embraer secured orders from Helvetic Airways and aircraft lessor TrueNoord, with the latter committing to up to 40 E195-E2s (20 firm, 20 options) and ten E175s, while Helvetic will acquire up to eight E195-E2s. It also signed an agreement with Air Côte d’Ivoire involving four firm orders for the E175, on top of eight options.
The company’s most significant commercial order from 2025 was undoubtedly Avelo Airlines’ $4.4 billion order for up to 100 E195-E2s, split into 50 firm orders and 50 options. This represented the first-ever US customer for the E195-E2, which now has over 20 customers from countries worldwide.
Other major orders secured include an agreement with SAS for a firm order for 45 E195-E2s and another ten options, as well as South American carrier LATAM buying 24 E195-E2s on top of an additional 50 options.

100 E-Jet Deliveries Per Year?
Embraer will need a significant production and delivery ramp-up if it is to keep up with growing demand for its E-Jet range. With a projected 80 E-Jet deliveries in 2026, the planemaker is aiming for up to 100 annual deliveries by 2027 or 2028.
Although Embraer continues to struggle with ongoing supply chain disruptions, particularly with enginemaker Pratt & Whitney as a partner on the E2, it does not anticipate a major hit to its production targets. The company achieved a total of 233 commercial deliveries in 2025, a 15% year-on-year increase, which included 78 E-Jets and 155 business jets.
