Parliamentary Secretary Sidhu promotes growing Canada-Africa trade relationship

The trade relationship between Africa and Canada continues to grow, presenting significant opportunities for both Canadian and African businesses.

This week, Maninder Sidhu, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, joined the Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, E.G.H. Prime Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of Kenya & Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, at the 2nd Canada-Africa Business Conference, held on February 19 and 20, 2024, in Nairobi, Kenya.

During the opening session of the conference, Parliamentary Secretary Sidhu spoke about the importance of Canadian and African business leaders gathering to share investment opportunities, discuss future collaborations and strengthen their trade relationship, to the benefit of Kenyans and Canadians alike.

He also highlighted the many business opportunities available for Canadians and Africans, including in infrastructure, education, agriculture and agri-food processing, information and communication technology, clean tech, oil and gas, and mining.
