TBH I hate the MAID discussion because I don’t actually think anyone cares about disabled people. I like the idea of being able to get MAID in 2027.

None of the “disability rights orgs” here are actually bothering to push for a UBI nearly as hard as they’re pushing against MAID. And none of the “social media disability advocates” bother to check in on their disabled friends or family.

If we want disabled people alive, we need to give them the option to live. I don’t want to lose the right to die without anything being left in its place.

But it seems like folks online are only ever anti-suicide. Never pro-justice.

Sorry for the rant. I’m just stuck with no services and very bitter about it.
