One-Day Cup 2025-26 – Marnus Labuschagne named domestic One-Day Cup player of the year

Marnus Labuschagne has been named Australia’s One-Day domestic player of the year following a stunning season for Queensland which included four centuries.

He is just the fourth batter to score four hundreds in a one-day season following Phil Jaques, Brad Hodge and Daniel Hughes.

Labuschagne also took 2 for 26 with the ball in the game against NSW and made two centuries more against Victoria and South Australia.

He finished with 20 votes edging out New South Wales batter Kurtis Patterson who polled 19 votes after making three centuries and two half-centuries in seven innings.

Tasmania’s Beau Webster finished third with 12 votes ahead of team-mate Tim Ward and Western Australia wicketkeeper-batter Joel Curtis in fourth on 10 votes.

Voting is determined by both on field umpires awarding 3-2-1 votes each with players able to poll a maximum six votes per game, which is a change from previous years where the two umpires would vote together on the 3-2-1.
