Ralph Lauren Creates Major League Baseball Capsule Just in Time for World Baseball Classic

Snow may still be on the ground in a lot of the U.S., but spring training has already started for Major League Baseball, giving hope to the baseball starved. Ralph Lauren is doing its part to lift the spirits of fans with its latest capsule.

For spring, the company has created a capsule for six teams: the designer’s beloved New York Yankees as well as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays.

Key items from this collection include Polo Ralph Lauren satin team jackets, fleece sweatshirts and baseball caps in team colors for both adults and children. But there’s no mistaking the designer’s allegiance: There is also a selection of novelty items including a denim trucker jacket, a cream pinstriped baseball jacket and a denim shirt, all featuring the Yankees logo.

The partnership between Ralph Lauren and MLB began in 2018 when Lauren, a lifelong Yankees fan and Bronx, N.Y., native, was honored at Yankee Stadium for the company’s 50th anniversary and threw out the first pitch. This led to the company collaborating with the league for the first time on an exclusive Yankees capsule collection in 2021.

The partnership has since expanded to include the other teams.

To commemorate the 2026 World Baseball Classic, which kicks off on March 5 and will run through March 17 with 20 teams facing off in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Tokyo; Houston, and Miami, the collection will launch in Japan on March 2 followed by a worldwide release on April 14.

Prices will range from $65 to $1,298 and will be available at the MLB flagship store in New York, select MLB Club stadium shops and Ralph Lauren stores globally as well as online.
