PlayStation Plus March 2026 ‘free’ games revealed, including Monster Hunter Rise and PGA Tour 2K25

On Wednesday, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed March’s free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers: Monster Hunter Rise, PGA Tour 2K25, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road. They’ll be free to download starting Tuesday, March 3.

Originally a 2021 Switch exclusive, Monster Hunter Rise came to PlayStation consoles in 2023. Like in other Monster Hunter games, you’ll, well, set out to hunt some monsters, using a variety of weapons and tools at your disposal to capture or kill them. It also includes a tower defense mode, Rampage, as well as local and online multiplayer, where four hunters can band together to stalk their prey. Monster Hunter Rise has been warmly received by critics, with the PlayStation 5 version holding an 87 Metascore on Metacritic.

PGA Tour 2K25 is the latest entry in 2K’s golf sim series, having launched last February. Like in other 2K sports sims, you’ll create your own player and rise in the ranks of the career mode, upgrading your attributes and filling out your skill trees along the way. PGA majors The PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and The Open Championship arrive in the PGA Tour 2K series for the first time with 2K25. Your player will have to be at the top of their game to win them.

March 2026’s PlayStation Plus Essential games will be available to claim through Monday, April 6.

PS Plus subscribers can still pick up February 2026’s PlayStation Plus free games — including Undisputed, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown — from the PlayStation Store through March 3.

The games are available to subscribers of all three tiers of PlayStation Plus, Premium, Extra, and Essential. PlayStation Plus Essential is the lowest tier of Sony’s subscription game service. It offers online multiplayer access, a monthly assortment of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases. PlayStation Plus Essential costs $79.99 annually, $24.99 for a three-month subscription, or $9.99 monthly.
