Olympics: Canada skates to the finish without Sidney Crosby


With an hour to go before Sunday’s can’t-miss Canada vs. USA gold medal showdown in men’s hockey, the news that everyone dreaded landed: Sidney Crosby, injured in the quarterfinals vs. Czechia, would again be a scratch. He’d missed Friday’s semifinal vs. Finland and, although he’d managed to skate two days in a row, he was clearly not fit enough to be a factor on Sunday.
