Three Hills RCMP arrest Alta. man for allegedly…


Mounties say charges have been laid against an Alberta man they say impersonated a police officer, going as far as equipping a vehicle with lights, signage and other equipment.

On Jan. 8, Three Hills RCMP were told about a suspicious vehicle seen near the village of Elnora, a community about 172 kilometres northeast of Calgary.

Officers later located an older model Ford Crown Victoria parked outside a home. Police say the vehicle appeared to have a badge on the bumper that read “police interceptor.”

“Further investigation revealed the same vehicle had been seen on Oct. 17, 2025, near Sylvan Lake, driving at a high rate of speed with blue lights flashing. Two drivers reported the vehicle and stated they initially believed it was a police vehicle,” RCMP said in a news release Friday.
