Ivanie Blondin wins silver in speedskating mass start race


The Netherlands’ Marijke Groenewoud won gold and U.S. skater Mia Manganello won bronze. Canada’s Valérie Maltais, who was also taking part in the women’s finals, finished fifth — an impressive feat given that she had fallen on the ice at the start of the race.
