Mobile satellite operator Terrestar Solutions Inc. wants to talk with decision-makers on the Hill.

Mark Livingstone, a consultant with Compass Rose Group, registered to lobby on behalf of the company this past week.

According to his mandatory filing with the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying, Terrestar wants to work with the federal government to replace the need for foreign satellite technology and spectrum allocation, while advancing national sovereignty and domestic infrastructure, Arctic security, a renewed commitment to rural and northern connectivity and ultimately advancing and investing in satellite technology and made-in-Canada innovations.

New Registrations

Since Feb. 14, the AsiaCan Clean Energy Fund was the most registered organization, with three unique registrations made on their behalf.

Additionally, the client sought to jointly develop,with the Government of Canada and provincial authorities, a program supporting the investments required that will enable Canadian dairy farms to implement the Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Dairy Cattle as well as to ensure the continuity of current funding in the next agricultural strategic framework. Meetings were also held centered around maintaining and protecting supply management, with regard to the legislative framework required for the uniform application of the Canadian Dairy Policy.
