Australia fines Alcoa $38 million to clear up site of bauxite mine


SYDNEY, Feb 18 (Reuters) – ‌Australia’s environment ‌ministry on ​Wednesday said Alcoa will pay ‌A$55 ⁠million ($38.86 million) to ⁠clean up ​a ​site ​in the ‌state of Western Australia where it ‌had ​a ​bauxite ​mine.

($1 = ‌1.4152 Australian dollars)
