Megan Oldham wins Canada’s second gold of 2026 Olympics


It was just another challenge for gutsy athletes who speed down an incline, launch themselves several metres into the air; spin as many as four times, flip twice or thrice, and somehow land upright. Not easy to do at the best of times, harder still when you’re shaking off a painful fall just a week earlier, as Oldham had to do. She fell on her second slopestyle run and ended up, as she said, “with a pretty good hematoma.”
