Will America Turn 250? | Excited Delirium

2026 marks 250 years since the American War of Independence.

I remember America in 1976: it was bold, exciting and it felt like anything could happen. It was also a very dim period for the US: factories were being shuttered, civil unrest continued, the government was in the middle or tumultuous times with Gerald Ford taking over after Nixon was shamed out of office.

Is the ‘greatness’ of America that Amerikkka wants?

Or is it a return to an era when white meant might and right, with the ability and legal ambiguity to control other people’s lives, whether they liked it or not.

Because that certainly seems to be where we are right now in Amerikkka.

Everywhere I look right now, there’s another tech platform losing credibility. Today it’s Substack. It’s hosting nests of Nazis parading around pretending ANTIFA is the bad force in the world.

And lo and behold, a mainstream American media shop has finally accepted that Trump might actually be a Russian plant and puppet to Putin, catching up with a small detail that everyone in the universe has been aware of for AT LEAST a decade.

Unfortunately, the Amazon/Bezos propaganda machine has also decided that a few hundred investigative journalists are far too many when their salaries could pay for another wedding or superyacht.

Tomorrow, who knows?

Will America experience the 2026 midterm elections in any fair way?

Unlikely, no. The Trump Administration has passed the misleading SAVE Act which would require any potential voter to provide either a birth certificate or a passport.

Guess what? A lot of Americans don’t seem to have those documents handy.

Guess who’s controlling access to documentation? The Trump Republicans and the techbros.

America? You won’t see the midterms like you’re thinking you might.

Sure, they might happen, but if people aren’t able to vote, guess who’s going to win?

What do Americans need to do before Trump brings about the final stages of Amerikkka?

REGISTER TO VOTE. Immediately. Here’s the original link to an important checklist.

📣 REGARDLESS: “GET YOUR PAPERS IN ORDER” N.O.W. – The process can take weeks and there are fees.

TO OBTAIN OR REPLACE YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE – COPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE: https://lnkd.in/gnX3D6uv

TO OBTAIN OR RENEW YOUR PASSPORT: https://lnkd.in/gZPKknb8

🚨 MARRIED WOMEN: Your birth certificate might not have the same last name you currently use, so you can be rejected from voting.

😤 REMEMBER: Even if a court rules this is illegal, that’s never stopped Trump. “Once a cheater, Always a cheater.”

While you’re at it, please CANCEL the techbros and unsubscribe.
