S&P/TSX composite up more than 400 points Friday, U.S. markets also higher




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index climbed in late-morning trading on Friday, helped by gains in the basic materials sector, while U.S. markets were also gaining ground.
The S&P/TSX composite index was up 419.95 points at 32,885.23.
