On Friday, Queen Letizia of Spain visited the Autonomous University of Madrid to tour the exhibition “In Memoriam Tomas y Valiente,” honoring the 30th anniversary of the assassination of the Spanish jurist and former president of the Constitutional Court. She chose a refined black-and-white ensemble for the occasion, anchored by tall black suede boots.
Queen Letizia’s shoes appear to be her go-to pair from Magrit, a Spanish luxury footwear brand she consistently favors. The design hugs the ankle before relaxing into a gentle slouch through the leg. A low block heel, approximately two to three inches high, added polish to the silhouette while still feeling practical and walkable. As it turns out, the royal wore the shoes in December to attend FundéuRAE’s 20th anniversary at the Real Academia Española, teaming them with Cortana’s gray Felicita dress, made from virgin wool.

For the outing on Friday, Queen Letizia, who was accompanied by King Felipe VI, leaned into a refined monochrome palette. Her black-and-white sweater featured a ruffled white collar punctuated by three petite buttons and coordinating cuffs. On the bottom, the mother of two wore fluid, wide-leg trousers that billowed with each step, creating the illusion of a midi skirt. She cinched in the trousers with a skinny black leather belt. As for jewelry, Queen Letizia kept it simple, accessorizing with diamond stud earrings and skipping a necklace. Finally, for beauty, she wore her dark brunette hair in a side part, completing the look with soft, glowy makeup.

Never one to shy away from rewearing her trusty wardrobe essentials, Queen Letizia chose the same black-and-white outfit formula for an outing in Caravaca de la Cruz, Spain, last week. This time, however, she swapped her beloved suede boots for a sleek leather pair.
