Canada’s curlers fight off plucky German team in Olympic opener


Returning to Olympic curling for the first time since 2014, the Germans won the last stone draw and blanked the first two ends before breaking through in the third with two points. Canada tied it up with the hammer next end, then stole two when Germany overshot its last stone in the fifth.
